What are the Eligibility Criteria for BMS Marketing?

BMS in Marketing is one of the popular Bachelor of Management Studies courses that teach subjects related to marketing. It is a 3-year undergraduate programme program that requires some specific eligibility criteria from the aspirants. Among them are listed below-

(a) The Aspirants interested in studying BMS Marketing course will have to complete their class 12 or equivalent certificate from a recognized board with any stream (Science, Commerce, and Arts).

(b) The students who have completed their intermediate examination must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks. The students belonging to the reserved category (OBC and SC/ST) could be given 5% relaxation. It could vary with different colleges.

(c) The must possess soft skills like good command over communication skills, patience, creative thinking, and basic aptitude-related management.

(d) Aspirants also need to qualify for the entrance specified by the university to get admission to the course.

Entrance Exams for BMS in Marketing Course

Most colleges provide seats in the BMS in Marketing Course only through the marks secured in the entrance examination. However, very few institutes also offer access to the programme through the marks secured in their class 12th examination. (a) DUJAT- Delhi University Joint Admission Test, a National Entrance exam conducted to provide BBA/BMS aspirants a seat.

(b) CUET- Christ University Entrance Test is a computer-based entrance examination conducted over various centre in the country. The duration of this entrance test is 120 minutes, and the format is Multiple Choice Questions.

(c) NPAT: National Test for Programs After Twelfth is an entrance exam conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute for Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, to provide admission to the BBA/BMS aspirants. It is a computer-based entrance exam for 2 hrs (120 minutes) with a multiple-choice format.

(d) UGAT- UGAT stands for Undergraduate Aptitude Test. It is conducted by AIMA annually to provide admission to the various undergraduate course, including BBA, BMS, B.com, BCA, and many more. The aspirants can take UGAT Test as; (a) Paper Based Test or (b) Computer Based Test.

(e) IPMAT- It stands for Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore). It is a gateway for admission to the BMS/BBA programme.

(f) AUMAT- Alliance Undergraduate Management Aptitude Test (AUMAT) is one gateway for admission to the BBA/BMS courses. It is conducted by the Alliance University.

(h) BHU UET- It stands for Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test conducted by Banaras Hindu University to offer entry to various undergraduate programs, including BBA/BMS courses.

Admission Process of BMS Marketing 2022

The aspirants who wish to pursue a BMS Marketing course must meet the specific standards set by the institutes. The colleges/universities will not help them to get admission if they fail to fulfill the eligibility qualifications. Therefore, the candidates are required to have qualifications such as an intermediate class certificate from a recognized board, good communication, analytical ability, many more. Several institutes offer admission to the BMS marketing program only through marks secured in the intermediate examination. Direct Entry to the Course-
