- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS):- The Bachelor of Medicine or MBBS is an undergraduate degree in medicine and surgery, obtained to be a certified doctor. To pursue MBBS, the applicant must pass the Class 12th or an equivalent examination in PCM or PCMB with a minimum of 60% marks overall. There’s a relaxation of marks for students from the reserved category at the government and affiliated medical institutions. To be admitted to any medical college, the applicant must pass an entrance test like NIIT and many others.
- Nursing (Post Basic BSc):- It is a 2-year degree in undergraduate studies that helps students understand the goals and duties of nursing as a profession. Students who have completed the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course after passing 12th in Science with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks will be eligible to take the course. Students must be registered as nurses and midwives by the appropriate State Nursing Registration council.
- Bachelor of Science:- BSc, also known as Bachelor of Science, is an undergraduate degree that students can undertake to pursue a career in the Science field. Candidates must pass class XII in the Science stream to be qualified for the BSc courses. The duration of the BSc course is generally three years at Indian colleges and universities.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma):- The BPharma, also known as the Bachelor of Pharmacy, is a four-year undergraduate degree offered in the discipline of Pharmacy. To be qualified for the program, students must have passed 12th in Science (PCM/B) and have at least 50 percent marks.
Engineering Courses
One who is a science student and has completed his 12th with PCM subjects can choose to pursue engineering courses. One who would like to be an Engineer can opt for the engineering study. There are ample opportunities in the engineering field.

- Bachelor of Technology (BE/B.Tech):- The BE/ B.Tech (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) is a professional undergraduate degree granted after four years of study within the engineering field. Universities that offer other degrees in conjunction with engineering refer to their engineering degrees as BE, while those that offer engineering-related courses for professionals call their engineering degree as BTech. - Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.):- BArch, also known as BArch or Bachelor of Architecture, is an undergraduate course in Architecture. To be eligible for this degree, one has completed 12th or equivalent mathematics with 50% marks overall.
- Bachelor of Science:- BSc, also known as Bachelor of Science, is an undergraduate degree that students can undertake to pursue a career in the Science field. Candidates must pass class XII in the Science stream to be qualified for the BSc courses. The duration of the BSc course is generally three years at Indian colleges and universities.
- Bachelor in Computer Applications:- BCA is an undergrad program usually taken by students wanting to learn about Computer languages. The BCA degree aligns with a BTech/BE diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology. Candidates who have passed 12th in any subject with Maths (in some instances English may also be required) and have obtained at least 45-55 percentage marks overall is eligible to take up BCA.
- Information technology (BSc. IT):- BSc in IT & Software, commonly referred to by the name of BSc in Information Technology (BSIT or BSc IT), is an undergraduate degree open to students who hold an academic degree of class XII in the science stream. The course duration is approximately 3-4 years at Indian universities and colleges. The course is available by students in the Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) stream.
