Minimum Marks Requirements: (a) The candidates belonging to the Open Merit category should have a minimum of 45% marks. For the unversed, the Open Merit individuals include the Children of Police Personnel, Para-Military Forces, Defence Personnel of UT of J&K/Ladakh, and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in Sports.
(b) Students belonging to reserved categories, including SC/ST/PSP/IB and other Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (RBA/ALC/OSC), should have secured at least 40% marks.

(I) Total Number of Questions: The JKCET question paper given to the participants consists of a total of 80 questions. All the questions given in the paper are compulsory.
(II) Type of Question: The Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test for engineering is a multiple-based or objective-based examination.
(III) Number of Sections: JK CET shall consist of a Single Paper with three sections comprising Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
(IV) Mode of Examination: It is a pen-paper-based examination conducted at the centers as may be specified by the Board in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only.
(V) Duration: The JK CET examination is carried out by the statutory Board for 180 minutes or 3hrs. Before taking the final exam, it is advisable that participants must practice on some mock papers so that they should have experience.
(VI) Total Marks: This multiple-type entrance test shall consist of 180 questions with one mark for each. Therefore, the test will be held for 180 marks.
(VII) Negative Marking: As per the official intimation, there will be ¼ (0.25) marks negative marking for incorrect answers.
(VIII) Marking Scheme for Correct Answer: One mark (+1) will be awarded for each correct answer.

You can make payments by any desired mode, including Debit Card, Credit Card, and Net Banking. When you complete your payment, a transaction acknowledgment page with transaction information will be presented, which you may either note down or print out for future reference.
Step 4: Uploading Documents
The very next application process is uploading documents. You, as an applicant, shall upload the documents such as a certificate of residence, proof of domicile, marks certificate of the qualifying examination, thumb impression, photos, signature, and other documents, if required. The documents must be of appropriate size and format.
