All these institutions come under the Department of Health under the Ministry of Health.

Eligibility criteria for Nursing Tutor

In order to apply for Nursing tutor vacancies, specific eligibility criteria are required. Below mention are the essential eligibility criteria that each recruiting authority has.

Educational qualification

The aspirant must have completed any bachelor’s Nursing courses viz BSc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing or equivalent. However, M.Sc Nursing Qualified candidates can also apply for the post.

Nurses who are aspiring to be nursing tutors are required to have three years of experience in teaching institutes. Also, they must have registered themselves from any Nursing Councils (state/India) and should have a valid nursing council registration certificate at the time of applying.

Age Limit

The minimum age required to apply for nursing tutors vacancies is 22 years. The age limit for this post in Central Government Institutions is 35 years. However, the age relaxation in the upper age limit may vary for reserved category candidates as per the central government’s rules and regulations. The age limit in state Government nursing colleges is 37 years, which may vary depending on the caste category and state government norms.

The most important thing one should remember is that the eligibility criteria, both educational qualification and age limit, may vary from authority to authority that conducts the recruitment.

Exam Pattern of Nursing Tutors

The exam consists of 100 marks which may vary depending on the recruiting authority(state/central). The paper contains 100 MCQs questions of 100 marks with a maximum time of 2 Hours (120 minutes). And, candidates will also be penalized with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Even after qualifying for the written exams, some steps are still required to go to grab the post of a nursing tutor. The written examination is held only for shortlisting the candidates for the Personal Interview. After the examination, the date for the personal interview is notified to the candidates later via email, messages, or other media sources.
